UV printing is an ideal solution when graphics are to perform their function for years without any problems. The average durability of the print made in solvent technology to weather conditions is 3 to 5 years, while the durability of UV printing is measured by decades. This is of course due to the way the inks are cured: UV radiation, which generally causes problems in printing, to cure the UV inks – on the contrary – it is absolutely necessary. Therefore, UV printing in polygraphy means savings in the long run due to the lack of necessity to replace fading graphics.
